Partner and Founder

David Green

David has over 35 years’ experience in energy, water, carbon, agriculture and large infrastructure sectors as a project developer, principal investor, investment banker, director, and advisor to governments and boards in in Australia and globally.

He was the National Practice Leader EY’s Energy & Advisory practice, National Practice Leader EY’s Water practice, an inaugural Queensland Water Commissioner, Director of the Murray Darling Water Authority, Director of the Queensland Infrastructure Association, and the Director of the Queensland Water Grid. David has led numerous large buy and sell side infrastructure transactions and restructurings in the energy and water sectors in Australia. This includes establishing energy corporations and the whole energy market, designing retail, implementing competition, developing the regulatory frameworks for the network sector, and acting as the pro tem regulator.

He has advised governments in India, Indonesia and the Philippines on the reform of their energy sectors and has advised the UK Government on water trading.

Prior to this, David held senior positions in the Australian Public Service including the Departments of Treasury and Finance. He was a member of the Australian Government’s Asset Sales Task Force and advised on the establishment of the National Electricity Market and micro economic reforms in Australia.

David has a degree in Management and Economics and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA).

Partner and Founder

James Ieong

James has been working in private equity and asset management for nearly 30 years, with extensive experience in sovereign wealth funds, private equity investment, and portfolio construction in asset management.

James has established and managed three funds which manage sovereign wealth fund capital from Europe and Australia, manage and capital jointly invested with Goldman Sachs.

He has held senior management positions in State Street Corp., JP Morgan Asset Management and Credit Suisse Asset Management.

He was a Managing Director at China Investment Corporation (CIC) from its inception and took a leading role in the establishment of CIC’s Private Equity Department. After leaving CIC, James established his own fund management firm.

James has also served as a Senior Advisor to Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC) and was responsible for private equity investment in China.

Throughout his professional life, James has developed significant experience in private equity investment and established a wide network of relationships in the healthcare and technology sectors, as well as investment circles in the Asia Pacific region.

James holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from RMIT University and a Master’s degree in Applied Finance from Macquarie University in Australia.

Nicholas O’Day

Nicholas has over 35 years’ experience in energy and infrastructure as a project developer, principal investor, investment banker, fund manager, advisor, attorney and has held several senior management positions.

His renewable energy sector experience spans 16 years across solar PV, wind, biomass, geothermal and battery storage, including 10 years as a principal developer in Australia, China, and Japan.

Nicholas has previous been the Japan President of the world’s largest energy company, Chairman of Energy Initiative Japan, President of E Power Japan and Legal Counsel of the Bank of Tokyo.

Nicholas has established, managed, and advised on several infrastructure investment funds, including the US$1bn Asia Infrastructure Fund, a joint venture between MUFG Bank and Babcock & Brown, and subsequently CIMB bank.

Nicholas was previously US Chairman of the APEC Energy Business Network, Chairman of the Australian Financial Markets Association (AFMA) Electricity Committee, a member of the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) emissions trading committee and a member of the Australia Japan Business Co-operation Committee.

He has degrees in Law and Commerce from the University of Queensland and is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong, England, Wales and several Australian states.

Eva has over 17 years of experience in renewable energy, private equity, cross-border M&A and fund management operation.
